Family Fun This Summer
Summer time is family time for a lot of us. We’ve rounded up a few activities for the entire family that we think are worth checking out. Enjoy!

Naturally we have to kick off this list with a local, long-standing team favorite – Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Park in Baldwin Hills. One of the largest inner-city parks in Los Angeles, this spectacular 338 acre site truly has it all: seven miles of hiking trails with incredible views, oak and eucalyptus groves, Japanese Garden, trout-stocked lake, picnic areas and much more. Lorin recommends trying out Hike to Yoga – a weekly hike followed by a yoga session held on Saturday mornings. Visit here for more information.

If you’re looking for an educational AND outdoor experience, Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena should top your list. Designed for kids aged up to 10 years old, the museum spans 3.5 acres has more than 40 hands-on exhibits. The Arroyo Adventure is not to be missed, where kids can climb a giant Hawk’s Nest and also try their hands at brickmaking in Mud & Clay. Prepare to get your hands dirty! No summer is complete with a trip or two to the beach and one of our top picks is the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. The five acre beach house has something for everyone including a historic pool, splash pad, volleyball and tennis courts, recreational room with ping pong, cafe and paddle board rentals. Make sure to take advantage of ‘Half-Price Mondays’, where usage of the pool will cost from $5 for adults. Find out more here.
