The Park to Playa Trail is Officially Complete!
We are very excited to have seen the completion of the Park to Playa Trail at the end of last month. We have followed its progress over the years and with the opening of the pedestrian bridge spanning La Cienega Boulevard, the Trail is officially complete.
The 13-mile trail was built in seven different segments over the past ten years, with the connection between Kenneth Hahn State Park and the Stoneview Nature Center representing the final segment—and previous missing link—to the now seamless trail.
It connects the Baldwin Hills Parklands to the Pacific Ocean via the Stocker Corridor, the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, the Stoneview Nature Center, the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook and the Ballona Creek Bike Path to the Pacific Ocean, ending in Playa Del Rey.
There are numerous access points to the Park to Playa Trail including various locations along the Ballona Creek Bike Path, in Culver City Park, at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, several staging areas in Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, and Norman O. Houston Park. Check out the guide here and a little preview of the path below. We can’t wait to explore it!
